Beschreibung
The Field (for female chorus SSA) sets words by the 13th century Sufi mystic poet known as Rumi: 'Way out there, beyond right and wrong there is a field; I will meet you there'.
This is gentle, hypnotic music which lasts for around 4'30".
The Field was composed in 2007 for Laudamus, directed by Deborah Catterall, who gave the first performance in Ripon.
